ABOUT ME
Howdy! My name is Michael. I was born and raised in Richmond, VA, and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. After my undergraduate studies, I lived in Brooklyn for three more years until I asked what was keeping me there. In hopes of a career shift from managing a bar and beverage curation, I moved back home to Richmond to pursue more creative pursuits.
Since returning to Richmond, VA, my exploration of clay has exploded into my life with gusto. Providing me with a creative outlet, I quickly studied wheel throwing at Clayground in Church Hill, leading me into an advanced student role. As my relationship with clay thickens, I am eagerly figuring out how to make my drawings a reality. To curate something two-dimensional into a physical vessel and let it explode with color & life.
